The Pronovias company presented its first pret-a-porter bridal collection in 1964, thus taking an important step that would propel the company into the 21st century by combining the bridal and pret-a-porter concepts in a single, innovative product. Years later, in 1968, Pronovias opened its first specialist bridal store in Spain, a single location where brides could find the dresses and all the accessories they needed. The following decade saw Pronovias open 80 more shops in Spain and the start of its international expansion in Europe. It entered the American and Asian markets in the 1990s. It now has more than 3800 sales points in 75 countries around the world.
